Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the FindSquad mobile application ("App") or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

FindSquad provides a platform to coordinate volunteer search efforts for lost pets, missing persons, and lost items using GPS tracking and sector division algorithms.

3. User Accounts and Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 must have parental consent. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

4. Search Types and Pricing

  • Missing Person Searches: $0.99, active for 7 days
  • Lost Pet Searches: $3.99 (in-app) or $2.99 (web pre-purchase), active for 3 days
  • Lost Item Searches: $2.99 (in-app) or $1.99 (web pre-purchase), active for 3 days
  • Evidence Searches: $19.99, active for 7 days
  • Volunteer Participation: Always FREE

5. Missing Person Searches

Missing person searches are provided at a minimal cost of $0.99 to prevent abuse while remaining affordable for all users. Filing false missing person reports is a federal crime. We reserve the right to verify information and report suspected fraud to law enforcement.

6. Payment Terms

All payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors. Payments are non-refundable except in cases of technical failure or duplicate charges. Pre-purchased credits never expire.

7. Location Data and Privacy

By using FindSquad, you consent to share your real-time location with other participants in searches you join. Location data is deleted within 10 days after a search ends. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Volunteer Participation

Volunteers participate at their own risk. FindSquad is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or incidents that occur during search activities. See our Liability Waiver for details.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • File false or fraudulent searches
  • Use the service for illegal purposes
  • Harass, stalk, or threaten other users
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to hack the App
  • Use the App to violate any local, state, or federal laws

FindSquad and its search algorithms are protected by patent pending status and copyright. All rights reserved.

11. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. FINDSQUAD DOES NOT GUARANTEE SUCCESSFUL SEARCH OUTCOMES. GPS ACCURACY DEPENDS ON DEVICE HARDWARE AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS.

12. Limitation of Liability

FINDSQUAD IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP. TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SEARCH.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States.
